Vari Mureriwa leads Digital for the Health and Public Sector at Accenture Africa. She is passionate about digital platform development, the emergence of and disruption from platform businesses, and equipping public service organisations to provide amazing digital experiences. She has 12 years’ experience in digital; starting in content management and evolving with the evolution of digital.
She holds a degree in Information Systems from Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia, a Post Graduate Diploma in STEM Communication from Stellenbosch University, and is currently an MTN Solution Space Fellow at the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town, studying towards a MPhil in Social Innovation focused on the socio-economic impact of digital platforms across Africa. Vari recently presented her research at the 33rd African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
In her spare time, Vari Mureriwa is an avid STEM education evangelist, and started the P-STEM foundation, a not for profit organisation, focused on increasing the size of Africa’s STEM pipeline particularly in communities with higher risks of youth unemployment
